This policy explains what information fullpdftools (“we”, “us”) at www.fullpdftools.com collects when you use the website and its tools, how it is used, and the choices you have. If you have questions, contact us at contact@fullpdftools.com.

1. Your files stay on your device

Every tool on this site — editing, merging, splitting, compressing, converting and so on — runs inside your web browser using JavaScript. When you add a file, it is read into your browser’s memory and processed locally. We do not upload your files to our servers, we cannot see them, and we do not store them. Closing or refreshing the page discards them. Our advertising and analytics partners do not receive your files or their names or contents from this site.

2. Information we collect

• Files and document contents: none. See section 1.
• Account information: none. The site has no accounts or sign-up.
• Messages you send us: if you email us, we receive your email address and the content of your message, and we use it only to reply.
• Technical data: like almost every website, our hosting provider may automatically record standard server logs such as IP address, browser type, referring page and the time of the request. We use this only to keep the site secure and working.
• Usage statistics: we use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used (section 4). This includes anonymous events such as “a tool finished successfully” together with the tool’s name and a count. It never includes file names or file contents.
• Advertising data: collected by Google and its partners when ads are shown (section 3).

3. Cookies, local storage and Google AdSense

Our own storage. If you choose day or night mode, we save that one preference (the word “light” or “dark”) in your browser’s local storage so the site looks the same next time. It is not sent to us or anyone else and you can clear it in your browser settings.

Advertising. We use Google AdSense to show advertising. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this and other websites.

• Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
• You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info.

• Ads may also be shown as non-personalized ads, which are based on the content of the page and your general location rather than your browsing history.

Consent in the EEA, the United Kingdom and Switzerland. If you visit from one of these regions, we ask for your choice through a consent message provided by Google, which is certified under the IAB Europe Transparency and Consent Framework, before advertising or analytics cookies and similar identifiers are stored. Until you choose, they are switched off. In that time Google may still receive limited, cookie-less signals (such as that a page was viewed) that are used for measurement and modelling. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time with the Privacy settings link in the site footer.

Cookies you may see.

• Google Analytics — _ga and _ga_<ID>: distinguish visitors and sessions; they last up to about 2 years.
• Google advertising — cookies such as IDE, __gads and __gpi (and similar identifiers) used to serve and measure ads and limit how often you see them.
• Consent — a cookie or storage entry set by Google’s consent message to remember your choice.

4. Google Analytics and other third-party services

• Google Analytics 4 (analytics). Google Analytics uses cookies to collect information such as pages viewed, approximate location, browser and device type, and how you arrived at the site. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store individual IP addresses. We keep analytics data for the retention period set in our account, which is 14 months at most, and we do not combine it with information that identifies you. You can prevent your data being used by Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, by declining analytics in the consent message where it is shown, or by blocking cookies in your browser. • Google AdSense (advertising), described above.
• cdnjs / Cloudflare: the open-source libraries that power the tools (pdf-lib, PDF.js, JSZip and Mammoth) are loaded from the cdnjs content delivery network. Your browser makes a request to that network, which can see your IP address and browser details, as with any website resource. Your documents are never part of these requests.
• Hosting provider: serves the website and may keep standard access logs.

These providers have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their practices.

5. How we use information

We use the limited information described above to operate and secure the site, understand which tools are useful so we can improve them, respond to enquiries, show advertising that helps fund a free service, and comply with legal obligations.

6. Legal bases (EEA/UK visitors)

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on consent for advertising and analytics cookies and similar technologies, and on our legitimate interests in keeping the website secure and functioning for basic server logs and for answering your messages. You can withdraw consent at any time (see section 3); withdrawing does not affect processing that happened before.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, to object to or restrict processing, to withdraw consent, and to complain to your local data-protection authority. Because we hold almost no personal data, most requests concern emails you have sent us. Contact contact@fullpdftools.com and we will respond within a reasonable time.

California and other US states: we do not sell personal information in exchange for money. Advertising and analytics partners may collect information through cookies as described above; you can opt out of personalized advertising using the links in section 3.

8. International transfers, retention and security

Google and Cloudflare operate globally, so information collected through their services may be processed in countries other than yours, subject to the safeguards those companies describe in their own policies. We do not retain your files. Emails to us are kept only as long as needed to handle your request. The site is served over HTTPS, and because processing happens in your browser, your documents are not exposed to our servers.

9. Children

The site is a general-audience utility and is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 where local law sets a higher age). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it last changed. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
